Florida and Bahamas Trip Winter of 2016-2017
Carey and I enjoyed a trip to Florida and the Bahamas with some fellow WYA buddies. We started in Colonial Beach on November 3 2016 and traveled with Peggy Saylor and Diane Burton aboard. Bob and Gail Mayer traveled alongside on their 47’ Bayliner Gailwinds, with Mike and Vicky Enos as travel companions and crew. Carey, Mike and I rented a car and returned to Colonial Beach for Thanksgiving. Vicky and Peggy left for CB a few days earlier. Diane went to see her mother in Florida. Carey and I returned in our car and moved to Ft Pierce after Thanksgiving. We spent most of December in Ft Pierce. Bob and Gail, on Gailwinds visited friends elsewhere. Gailwinds joined us in Ft Pierce and we started our Bahamas trip after Christmas. Gary and Nancy joined Apolonia for the trip to Bahamas. We ended the trip on 12 February 2017 when both boats tied up at Old Port Cove Marina on Lake Worth in Florida. See details of the trip using the date tabs above.
